Not sure why it took me so long to hop on the bandwagon.

Sent mine to Duarte for a domed sapphire and black date wheel. Fitted it on a Hirsch Pure.

As my Brit friends would say, "It's the bees knees and I'm over the moon!".

I've always liked these. Never owned one but have always wanted to.

Just cool enough to give the effect without overdoing it. Definitely gives the watch a different look from the stock crystal.

Steve... I just picked up this new white dial version and it is a nice looking piece but not on the same level quality-wise as the Seiko, IMHO.

Yup. I'm getting kinda overloaded with these VFM divers...

+1 on the Orients, I prefer the "old" Makos (obviously ;) )

Model number of Seiko in original post?
Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

Have always wanted a DLC'd one, but I'm having trouble justifying spending multiple times the base cost of the watch for a bead blast and DLC.

That's interesting and I was impressed with the mako I had. Might have to get the Seiko for a work watch.

Son OF A!!! I thought just the dial was cerakoted and assumed the case was PVD, but you are right, it appears they have "PVD Strap", so they are talking about the buckle?
Crap!

No way I would wear a watch that was Cerakoted by someone else. Fine if I want to destroy a watch, but I am not going to buy one that way.

It's a great watch, but definitely has some shortcomings. The movement and case are mediocre, although the dial is fantastic. Bonus points for the killer Seiko diver heritage. Still, those shortcomings relegate it to true beater status for me.

Vintage Seiko. Around 200 and cannot be beaten.

The skx is an awesome watch for the price.
I wear my yellow a35 regularly for many years and I have a 173 with Jack right now waiting to get a sapphire dome.

Seiko does it right. And with the new SRP series you get a way better movement in a classic case, dial, handset combo. All for about twice as much as an SKX.

I like these. Tempted. I saw one like this recently but with orange chapter ring. Purists may laugh but I find it very cool.
