Thoughts on GHBass boots?
Thoughts on GHBass boots?
I picked up a pair at an outlet last week on the way home from vacation. Great price but I know nothing about the quality of their boots. They seem to have a good rep on other shoes like boat shoes or casual/business shoes.
Does anyone have any experience?

They used to make high quality penny loafers. Now they make penny loafers. I'm sure they're fine.

They probably are hideous, but it must be hard to find shoes in size 5EEEEEEEpatstarrx wrote:FuJacob.JP Chestnut wrote:They used to make high quality penny loafers. Now they make penny loafers. I'm sure they're fine.

Used to be a great brand 20+ years ago. Now = teh HIV.

They are fine for what they are - a fashion boot. They'll wear out before you ever need to polish them. They used to be made in Maine, but now I think everything is made overseas.
There's nothing truly wrong with them, but don't expect them to wear like a premium boot. For an off-the-shelf, lower cost boot that will last beyond a season, I think Clarks are a bit of a step up from GH Bass.

Yea nothing I can see of them would alter your exact point. But for $30 they were worth a flyer. As often as I wear boots (when not working) they will last me for a while.Ryeguy wrote:They are fine for what they are - a fashion boot. They'll wear out before you ever need to polish them. Hopefully they will break in a bit as I need a wider boot. As mentioned above.
