Ristola's new Plongeur UTC
Ristola's new Plongeur UTC
Was wondering if anyone had the chance to see these new COSC certified dive watches.
The new watch from Swiss brand Ristola has a 43mm stainless steel case, and has
ETA's 2893-2 automatic inside. It also has a stepped dial, luminous hands, and markers.
Plus a domed AR coated sapphire crystal, 120 click rotating bezel, and helium escape
valve. Looks like you also get a stainless steel bracelet, and two nato straps everybody.
Some renderings for you...

The watch looks great. Conservative choices all around -- materials, appearance, size, etc.
The company name? Reminds me of a pasta dish

Pretty nice. Not sure I get a traditional "Plonguer" vibe from it, but still nice.
I know "plonguer" means "diver", but here's another definition...
plon·geur
ˌplôNˈZHər,plänˈjər/
noun
a person employed to wash dishes and carry out other menial tasks in a restaurant or hotel.
Guess a Plonguer diver would come in handy.

Re: Ristola's new Plongeur UTC
Decent looking, but would be better with a black date wheel and ditch the orange hand (I dislike when companies do red & orange together).
I wonder how much?

Ristola sounds like that brand of musical instruments lol
Re: Ristola's new Plongeur UTC
I like it they need to do something about all the writing on the dial. Ristola reminds of Shinola I think removing their name and leaving their logo would help.
