About 10 seconds under regular bulb

I’ll report on how long she lasts

Very even lume all around

Numbers on bezel actually line up perfectly IRL - for some reason the iPhone doesn’t translate well

I agree, it looks very evenly applied. Heck, you can almost read the dial text by it.

BTW - did it ever get on the boat?

Pretty bad ass watch, actually. Perfect size and the crown at 10 keeps you from getting snagged when gearing up. Good stuff

I predict success. The market has been missing an affordable Sinn-type alternative. Being even remotely unique is surely not easy at this price point.

I thought I remembered you leveraging some old connections to get it a ride a while back.

No matter. I'm in on this watch. I look forward to giving it the "Ryeguy torture test" as I tumble through the surf.

I can still go out any time, but I really got burned out doing that the last couple of years. Glad to be back on land, so to speak.

Any chance that you’d be willing to take one more for the team, and bounce this thing off some decking for us? Still the gold standard test for a tool watch, IMHO.

“I am building ARES as a watch making company. We will produce multiple hard-use mission timer styles, in both Li-on quartz and mechanical movements. I am excited to announce, in addition to DIVER-1, we will be launching two new watches in 2019: the DIVER-1C and the FIELD-1 GMT. The DIVER-1C has been selected as an Official Prize of the 2019 US Army Best Ranger Competition, and will be announced and profiled in spring of next year. In addition FIELD-1, a dated GMT, has been selected with ARES as the Official Timer & Watch of the NFL Alumni Association’s 2019 Super Bowl of Golf. The FIELD-1 will be announced and profiled in fall of 2019. Because we are a watch making company all models of ARES diver and field watches will be available with either Li-on or mechanical movements, starting winter of ‘19. “
