ARES Watch Company
Re: ARES Watch Company
This watch expectation is ruining me on other “value watches” like Seiko, etc... as I expect this will fill that void of the grab-and-go beater completely.
Re: ARES Watch Company
Is it a 100 limited run?
And yes Wu- I’m thinking you’re right.

Re: ARES Watch Company
Oooh some ARES swag! Some others here can prolly speak to it more - if they’re inclined - but that ARES stamp is a very accurate and faithful “homage” to the legitimate stamps and markings used - at one time - for the marking, handling, and dissemination of CLASSIFIED materials. I thought it added a nice touch; a little Easter egg for those playing along at home.Chocodove wrote:Got back from vacation to a sweet welcome to the ARES family. Thanks, Matt!
And yes: welcome to the ARES family.
Re: ARES Watch Company
Shit, now I feel like just I gave up some classified info
Regardless, pretty cool. Was wondering about the stamp.

Re: ARES Watch Company
I did wonder a bit how those would be viewed passing through the mail.
I used to wrap Christmas presents every year using CLASSIFIED burn bags, and everyone just thought I used shitty paper. I’d just sit there - with a little scotch and a simmering hatred - with the fanatically liberal in-laws and watch them tearing CLASSIFIED burn bags off of their presents. It was so heart warming.
I was going to package the watches in this wrapping but then I couldn’t send them to guys I used to work with or they’d just go into the incinerator unopened which, btw, isn’t covered under the warranty.

Re: ARES Watch Company
OK - I promised Matt I would send the sample watch onto the next person so they had it on Friday, Nov. 16th.
Mother Nature didn't really cooperate in the wave department during my week and I was only able to take the watch out for one session with decent, but not spectacular, waves.
Murphy's Law held true to form and these were the waves on my home break on Friday, Nov. 16th, the day the test watch arrived in Idaho...

One guy broke 2 boards that day. Wave height was about 10' - 15'.
