New Crepas Megamatic 1200M

Post by AtomicTom » Mon May 11, 2020 10:11 am

Did anyone happen to see the Crepas Megamatic 1200M by chance?

This watch pays tribute to Omega's Seamaster 1000 Megaquartz.
Having details like an asymmetrical stainless steel case, 1200M
WR, sapphire crystal, stainless steel diver's bezel with a ceramic
inlay, black, and blue dials with cool hands, and also markers with
C3 SLN, stainless steel bracelet, along with the ETA 2824-2 too.

Here is a look...

Needs more than that - like shaving off a shit ton of SS on the crown side IMHO.

Just as ugly as the original one viewtopic.php?f=74&t=69089&p=1339637&hi ... c#p1339637

It could substitue as a ladies diaphragm.

I don’t love it, I don’t hate it.
I dig destro or lefty crowns but that is one hell of an asymmetrical case. I would need to see it on my wrist.
I’m not a fan of straight end bracelets, even with lugs like this. Would be better on a strap.
I know this was based on an omega prototype that never went into production, there was probably a good reason they didn’t produce it beyond a prototype.

The crown stem must be over an inch long.

Probably a legitimate concern. Given the massive size of the crown you could put a lot of torque on the stem which would stress it a lot more than on most watches.
