Magrette's Moana Pacific Waterman GMT
Magrette's Moana Pacific Waterman GMT
Has anyone had time to catch Magrette's new Moana Pacific
Waterman GMT already?
With the new GMT, you have a choice of 42mm stainless steel,
or CuSn8 bronze cases, and nice engraved two-tone aluminum,
or ceramic bezels. Not to mention 500m WR, AR coated box style
sapphire crystals, nice black dial with Super Luminova coated
hands, and markers, Tropic-like blue rubber strap, or brown
leather strap, and ETA Caliber 2893-2 automatic movement.
Just a few pictures...

Nicest watch they've made in along time, maybe ever! Not a big fan of the GMT hand though.
Re: Magrette's Moana Pacific Waterman GMT
Is it me, or do the hands not work well with the dial?

I think they’re ok, but a slightly fatter standard baton handset would work better.CGSshorty wrote:Is it me, or do the hands not work well with the dial?

Like them a lot overall but they need to change either the hour/minute hands or the second hand.

I actually like this quite a bit. I need to decide if I $780 like it, but I think they look good.

It’s not bad.
This may be a mash up of the most watches ever into one.

It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now

YES! Finally a Magrette with the date window in the proper place. Lovely watch!
Re: Magrette's Moana Pacific Waterman GMT
I like the SS blue bezel. Some inspiration from other places, but as far as micros go these days, I think this one is pretty unique.
Not a fan of the 2893 for how I’d use a GMT watch, but I’d buy one of these used.

Their normal ones wear big at 44mm to me. Hopefully this one wear's a bit better.

Pics of the original waterman. These were taken on a smartphone a few years ago so they look a little larger, but the 42mm wears well. (7 1/2 inch wrist)unsub073 wrote:Their normal ones wear big at 44mm to me. Hopefully this one wear's a bit better.
