Not sure if everyone had time to check out REC's RJM Bluebird already.
The new watch pays tribute to the PT879 Spitfire. With not only it's design,
but also dial. Which actually uses aluminum from a PT879 it looks like. With
just some of the details including a 41mm stainless steel case, 30m WR, a
blue sunburst dial with special date window, luminous hands, and markers,
Miyota 9015, and leather, and felt strap.

Re: REC's RJM Bluebird
It's not looking too bad. The dial looks quite good actually and the cut out, with different colour, gives it quite and industrial feel but the feel just doesn't match up with WW2 era 'inspiration ' of the whole watch. The touble with having such a specific reference point is it limits the design.
Which is a pity because the case shape it's pretty nice too and,as said, the dial, as an industrial element is pretty good looking.
