I definitely want it but wrong timing for me.
Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
Meh. After the crap they pulled I can’t get behind anything they make.

Yes. From what I recall they tried to make it right but still fell short.

Agreed.Nellipj wrote:Meh. After the crap they pulled I can’t get behind anything they make.
I liked the models I’ve owned and I like this design, but they lost me as a customer with that crap they did.

Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
What dive table is it referencing on the bezel? Whatever it is its even more conservative than PADI recreational tables. Strange
Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
I’ve owned a few of their products (not the Anko) and found them to be well built watches. No complaints.
My only issue (which is probably something that could be said about most micros) is service parts availability is pretty much nonexistent from what I’ve heard. If you accidentally strip a crown, for example, you are S.O.L.
It’s a cool watch, but dollar for dollar, a Seiko Shogun is probably a better purchase if you plan to own it for a while just due to the service aspect.

Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
I'm in for one. I really like the design (vintage Sinn) and the specs. All of Crepas past stuff has been nice quality except for the movement holder fiasco with the Anko. I'm looking forward to estimated delivery in October.
Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
I'm also in for one, looks like a very sturdy dive watch.

I know for a fact this is true with this brand. I do not know with other micros since so far we have had good issues with them.

Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
Have to say these look really mean Terry !
The dial, along with bezel is fantastic, and both aggressive, and refined,
and then love the chunkiness of the case. ..Almost takes you
back with the funkiness, or looks like some amazing prototype watch
of some kind. Definitely am liking it sir !
Thanks very very much for the heads up, along with look !!!

Saw your post with Vegaban pic on WUS; Sinn 801 homage (never saw that sinn before).

Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
I had the Anko and mine didn’t have any alignment issues. The quality was excellent, but knowing the movement spacer issue, I dumped it before I wore it. This one looks badass.
People want the Propeller logo on the crown and Crepas decided to incorporate it in the final watch. For me, keeping the crown sterile is the way to go in this case.

I was close to pulling it. They decide to add the date just before the campaign ended. Pissed off a lot of people.

Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
Seems they used a titanium crown tube on these watches and they are failing.

Are they stripping?toxicavenger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 1:33 pmSeems they used a titanium crown tube on these watches and they are failing.
The only Ti watch I own is the Shogun (your old one IIRC) and that crown operates perfectly after all these years.
I’d guess you’d preferably use a steel crown tube and Ti crown, so if something strips, it is the easier item to fix.
Then again, I think you might get galling mixing steel with Ti.

they might be stripping. the company has not told the owners. seems the service has also been hit or miss and people are getting pissed with the brand.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 1:48 pmAre they stripping?toxicavenger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 1:33 pmSeems they used a titanium crown tube on these watches and they are failing.

I hope for their sake, that’s not true. I had the Anko and was lucky enough that the dial on the one I had was centered.

I have seen at least 9 people talking about the issue. So it seems to happening.Axelay2003 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 1:54 pmtoxicavenger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 1:33 pmSeems they used a titanium crown tube on these watches and they are failing.

Re: Crepas Engelsfisch On Kickstarter
Reading the thread on WUS, it sounds like effected owners are trying to organize a group email campaign to demand service. Crazy that amount of effort is required just to get a repair done.
I’ve owned a few of their watches. The one time I had an issue (rust spots on a clasp), they sent replacement parts quickly - no drama.
