Hot! I just saw a grey dial version with a grey ceramic bezel in person today. I have to say it was even better looking than my dlc version.

Is that one of the Scurfa's on it? It looks really good.
Nope stock strap. The Scurfa's would work but the ends for the spring bars might be to thick in height.
Show's what I know. I didn't even try the stock strap with mine. :banghead:

Winding the movement could be a little smoother, but that isn't due to the crown. I think it is the eta movement itself. Because when screwing the crown down it is perfect.
Winding a 2824-2 from the crown is always going to feel gritty. The 2824-2 is basically a manually-wound movement with an autowind module sitting on top of it.

In fact, the autowind module complete can be easily separated from the base movement by removing the two black screws. I've had to do this to get at the regulator on one of mine (the rate was too far out of whack to correct with the eccentric screw). Anyway, with the autowind module removed, the winding was buttery smooth.

When you wind it from the crown with the autowind module in place, you're transmitting torque through the fine-toothed gears, reverser wheels, etc. of the autowind module. I don't think these hold up very well to hand-winding.

Bottom line, not a fault of Halios; it's just how the 2824-2 is.

What a watch Terry !!! Huge congratulations to you sir ! :headbang: :)

This really does seem like one of those watches that's ready for any situation
you need it for, or any ocassion. :salute: Love how it has this controlled aggression
thing that is going on. Where you have both top notch class, and elegance
meeting up with a sinister stealthiness. It's a real stunner with attitude ! 8-)

Hope you really enjoy Terry !!!

Just landed, Series 2 Date with the fixed bezel that I picked up for the Mrs.

Probably wears a bit smaller on the Ginualt bracelet. Very impressed with the finish of the pastel dial and crystal.
