Manchester Watch Works' Rattler Military Field Watch

Post by AtomicTom » Tue Nov 13, 2018 11:16 am

Guys, just stumbled upon this new one from Manchester Watch Works.
Have any of you see it already?

The Rattler Military Field Watch looks to have a 37mm titanium case,
100m water resistance, AR coated sapphire crystal, sunburst silver, or
black dials with BGW9 Super-Luminova, Seiko NH35 movement, NATO
straps, exhibition case-back, plus more everyone.

Check them out...

I love dates at 4:30, but 4? That pushed the Arabics in and throws the dial off to me.

Just the other day I was thinking that Seiko should do a reissue of the SUS. This is pretty good, but the date display is horrible.

EDIT: I guess the date window is a copy of the original as well. It's been a while since I looked for one.

It isn't as noticeable in person but I didn't like it. I also didn't like the og version.

It looks like they skipped steps 4-5 in the milling of the case. Image

At 37mm diameter, it would look like and feel like I was wearing a child's watch.

Nice but it is a copy of the SUS and I think a little too small these days. It should have been at least 40mm...

I think the watch is fine and achieves the goal he had in mind to make an homage to that watch. Date and finish.... I personally don’t like that style but that’s just my opinion

I agree. Not my style but seems like a faithful recreation.
