Spinnaker's Tesei Bronze

Post by AtomicTom » Mon Oct 22, 2018 10:16 am

Has anyone had time to catch Spinnaker's first Swiss Made Watch yet?

The Tesei Bronze will have a 43mm bronze case, 300 meter water resistance,
AR coated sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel insert with luminous markers,
helium release valve, wave pattern dials with Super-Luminova coated hands,
along with markers, water proof buffalo leather straps, and Sellita SW200.

Some pictures everyone...

Spinnaker's Tesei Bronze

Hard to tell about the thickness - the caseback seems to stick way out. Specs say 43mm x 16mm and an SW200 movement.

I think the hands and markers would look better in bronze rather than gold.

Having very briefly owned one of Spinnaker’s newer models, I can say that for the price they feel of very good quality

I believe it’s the variations of CUSN8 composition. I’m not 100% but I think the less tin added, the more reddish in tone the bronze will appear.
More tin and it will have a slightly golder hue.

The brown dial version is nice. Unfortunately most of the offerings are really big or very expensive for a "novelty watch" (big like the Helberg or too expensive like the Oris Carl Brashear I had).

I asked about that, the hands are bronze; my guess patina would take a long time, if ever, to appear.

"Bronze does oxidize over time creating a patina effect over time but as the watch is quite sealed, it may take time for this
process to happen."
