Seaforth GMT tomorrow
Seaforth GMT tomorrow
halioswatches: Seaforth GMT ordering will be split into two sessions so my friends in banana republics like "Melbourne" don't have to wake up at 3AM. The first will be at 1PM on Friday Aug 10, Vancouver time. The second will be at midnight on Saturday Aug 11 (11 hours later). Hope this works for you guys. I don't anticipate a repeat of Seaforth2gate because of the less friendly price point, but what do I know? I'll tell you what: this stubby hand fills my heart with joy. Compromise? Nope, wish I had gone with this to begin with. All variants are now viewable on the site (just change the dial / bezel in the drop-down boxes).
$900 - $925
He's wrong though - the site will crash.

Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
Am an Halios fan but I Don’t like his solution of the short stubby gmt hand. It points to nothing. For me, just my opinion, such a shot GMT hand works when the dial had an inner GMT track such as the Sinn GMT or Farer....

^^^ Have to agree. I would prefer a a longer GMT hand, but it sill looks good. He'll easily sell out, obviously.

Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
not sure the gmt is too short, what do you really need it to point to other than the hours which it does fine IMO?
Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow

The GMT hand is the same length as the regular hour hand, I don't see an issue with it, but I see where you are coming from. On an Explorer II the GMT hand is the same length as the minutes hand and goes right to the minutes track at the edge of the dial.

Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
GMT hand is too short. Otherwise, I'm digging the Explorer II vibe on the version with the numbered bezel - obviously influenced by it without being a blatant ripoff. I don't like the version with the interior 24 hour scale and smooth bezel as much.

Good points. I was thinking that it was too short also, then I read your perspective and I agree. I'm definitely in (if I can). While the bezel versions seem to be more popular in general, I really like the look of the Seaforth with the fixed bezel. I just have to decide between grey and blue...
Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
The grey dial looks really good.
Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
Not a fan of the short GMT hand either.

Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
I love the look of the watch and would certainly buy one, but I have no interest in having a virtual Black Friday experience.
Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
Im torn between these, i may buy my first Halios today if i get thru. Worse case i flip it i guess.
Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
really curious to see whether I and others can actually grab one of these at 1pm PST. Anyone know whether these are made and ready to ship? Doesnt say preorder on the site, but than again info is sparse as shit there.
Re: Seaforth GMT tomorrow
from my understanding, not a preorder. he's a one-man show, so they won't all ship on Monday, it will probably take him a week or two to process everything, but i think he has them in hand.

He says they will ship starting on Monday according to his instagram. So I'm assuming they're already made.
