Pinion's TT
Pinion's TT
Just seeing this new one from Pinion Watches today guys. Has anyone
seen it yet?
The watch is the TT which stands for Two Time-Zones, and it has a 42mm
titanium case, 100 meter water resistance, maroon, or anthracite dials
with luminous hands, numbers, and markers, handmade leather straps,
exhibition case-back revealing the ETA 2893-2 beneath, and more.
Some pictures for you...

Reminds me a bit of the Blancpain Leman Aqua Lung.
+1 on the bent hand, that has to go.

The bent hand doesn’t bother me at all. On some applications, it has that ghost effect

Do these guys make their own cases ? Assemble their watches ?
I recall someone here discussing them before but can’t remember the story about Pinion.

They say “designed, built, and tested”. So definitely using 3rd party for machining etc.Jeep99dad wrote:Do these guys make their own cases ? Assemble their watches ?

Brice, not 100% sure, but looks like somewhere between $2000-$2500 !
Didn't actually realize that until today.
Just thought they had this neat personality where they almost seemed
vintage at times, but then totally unique, and modern also. ..Loved
the dials, and dial colors, but also just all around craftsmaship.
Just is cool the way Pinion's watches always seem timeless, but then
refreshingly different.
Re: Pinion's TT
I like it but I don't understand why they put the seconds markers in the middle of the dial and then seconds hand arrow pointing toward the edge...
If they put the markers where the arrow head is it would make more sense to me...

Re: Pinion's TT
Wow, just seeing that now Carlo ! You have the best eye !!!
The hand goes right through the markers like you said, and goes toward
the outer part of the dial. ..Wonder if they wanted it to be like that,
and maybe were doing it for a unique design reason possibly.
Otherwise, I wonder would it be easier to move the markers, or maybe
cut the hand, and make it shorter.
Re: Pinion's TT
I would definitely move the markers. I don't think a short seconds hand would look too good. Markers in the middle of the dial seem a little strange to me.AtomicTom wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 1:17 pm

Also I would change the color, no need to make them orange to match the seconds hand in my opinion.
But I am not the Pinion designer...

You may not be the Pinion designer, but you could be sir. ..I mean all your ideas,
and suggestions sound great, and like they would work on these, or any watch to
tell the truth. It's a mix of common sense, and an artistic touch, and you have both !!
