PolAm's Hamtramck

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Jun 20, 2018 9:14 am

Did anyone ever hear of PolAm Watches? Or check out their Hamtramck by chance?

Based in Michigan, the company/brand, has created it's first watch called the
Hamtramck. Which looks to be named after Hamtramck Michigan, and honors
all of the Polish immigrants who arrived there. With the name PolAm being the
combination of creator Joe Wichowski's love for all things Polish, and American

Just a few of the specifications look to include a 46mm stainless steel case,
100M WR, AR coated sapphire crystal, unidirectional rotating bezel with red,
and silver aluminum inlay, clean, or Polish Eagle emblem white dial with C3
Super-Luminova hands, and markers, stainless steel shark mesh bracelet, or
faux red leather strap, and Seiko NH35 behind engraved case-back.

Here is a look...

46mm is huge. Not a great looking watch and very limited target market if taking in the Polish angle. Even the stylised bezel is a weak attempt to deflect from yet another homage. Fail for me.
