Kremke planning a comeback

Post by tattoo chef » Tue Jun 05, 2018 6:07 am

Luis (watches503)told me that Kremke had made a post on Instagram and had messaged with him, so I reached out to Ian to see what was up. This was his response.

“Hi Donald,
All is well, great to hear from you.
I’m looking at making a comeback, however it’s a long road ahead. Aiming to have it running by end of year / start of next. Still working on what my product offering will be and naturally have to get it produced and as we all know, things move very slowly in the watch industry.
Thanks again for the interest and stay in touch.
Kind Regards
Ian Kremke”

Good to know. I'll be looking for more info as this develops. I loved the Subzilla.

Just bring back the DLC Subzilla and I’m a customer.

I don’t know if he plans on bringing back the subzilla or he is going to be doing new pieces. I guess I can prod him for a little more info.

So, I spoke to Ian a bit. His initial plans for his first model back is the Subzilla. Keep in mind he is in early stages but is planning to do it with stainless case and DLC bezel, and a fitted rubber most likely. He wants to reduce weight so most likely no bracelet.
He is also thinking of titanium, but again, nothing official or concrete yet.

I’ve never conversed with him before. Feel free to invite him. It sounds like he has plenty of fans here.

It is, but there still is not a diver out there that looks like a Subzilla. With how long he has been gone though, I wonder how many do not know of him. He will def have to do some good marketing.

Those are cool looking watches! I never got the chance to own one, but definitely a bad-ass diver :)

I remember getting into watches and at that time, these were all sold out and wanted one. It’s nice to see Kremke returning into the watch industry.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

Awesome. I am glad the Subzilla is coming back. I want a DLC subzilla. I think the pricing will be key. Back when Kremke first started there were a lot less micros. Helson, Halios, Borealis, etc provide good value at different price points.
