ToW's Gibralfaro

Post by AtomicTom » Wed May 16, 2018 9:29 am

Has everyone had time to see ToW's (Time of Watches) Gibralfaro yet?

The Spanish brands new model was created by watch enthusiasts for
watch enthsiasts, and has a vintage racing style. With just a few of the
many details including a 41mm brushed, and polished stainless steel case,
AR coated double domed sapphire crystal, 100M WR, black, or white dials
with checkered outer ring, and BGW9 Super-Luminova coated hands, and
markers, neat racing style leather straps, and Miyota 9130 movement.

Some pictures for you...

I like the hands and dial, but the case is just way too slab like.

Aside from the strap, I honestly don't see much "vintage racing" in the design. The model name (a mountain in Spain) doesn't really help with the racing connection either.

It's a unique looking watch right everyone?!! Kind of takes elements from
different watches, but doesn't remind you of any one watch which is pretty
neat.

Oh, and Andrew, was kind of thinking the same thing with the watch. The strap
definitely brings the race vibe. Guess maybe the outer checkered ring, and also
power reserve adds a sporty feel. But it's more modern. ..Guess it pays tribute
to the past, but without being 100% like past watches. :)
