Karlskrona Midnattssol
I recently had the opportunity to photograph and handle the new upcoming Karlskrona Midnattssol 300m dive watch (thanks Todd). This was the prototype orange dial version, there is also a blue sunburst brushed dial version as well. Both variations will have a fully brushed stainless steel finish with stainless steel bezel. The watches will come supplied on a very nice quality Nato strap as well as a black natural rubber dive strap.
The Midnattssol watch has the same case sizing as Karlskrona's previous two watches, the Baltic Shield and Nordic Shield. This is a very budget friendly watch and IMO is competing in the Seiko dive watch category. There is a lot of bang for your buck at a very wearable size with the new Midnattssol. Preorders have been ongoing the last several months and is due to be released soon (Todd can update us on schedule).
Watch Specs:
• Case material: 316L stainless steel, brushed finish, drilled lug holes
• Case dimensions: 43mm dia, 49mm length
• Lug width: 22mm
• Movement: Seiko NH35 automatic / hacking
• Water resistance: 300m
• Dial colors: Orange or brushed sunburst blue
• Lume: Swiss Superluminova hour markers, hands and 12:00 bezel pip
• Crown: 7mm Screw down and signed
• Case Back: screw down and signed
• Crystal: Domed sapphire (interior AR coated)
• Strap: Nato / Natural rubber strap
• Signed zippered travel case
• Warranty: 12 months
Here are several pics of the Midnattssol for you guys that would like to get a better visual of the watch. This was a prototype watch, there are a couple of tweeks still happening for the production versions.
Cheers.

Here are a few additional pics of the case with the strap removed to help show crystal, bezel crown and caseback contours and details.

That's a good orange color on the dial.

I think both colors turned out well. Fortunately for me I already have two blue dials and two orange, or I'd have to grab one.

I might need to get the blue no date. Looks nice.

This is the rubber strap that’ll come with the watch in addition to the nylon strap.
The watch is solid and the blue is beautiful. A a great value imo

It has to some extent. Still a gap with this rubbber for example but improved for sure and even less of a gap on the canvas.mellonb1 wrote:Has the huge lug gap been corrected on this one? The blue is Hot!
My recommendation to Todd is to bring the holes in a bit further.

Great selection on that Nato. Really nice quality webbing and nice hardware too. You should sell them on your website. I'd buy a couple.
