You ever hear the saying you have one chance to make an impression?Orion wrote:If I want the truth I'll get it from people who know me and my product, not some keyboard jockeys who think they know me, my product and my goals after 15 seconds. That wont come from you here or from WUS.
Whatever guys, I'm here as someone with a unique experience and set of skill. Also on the inside of the industry but you'd rather lecture me and post jabs at my company and character.
You had that chance, and came here to make a snarky post, instead of talking about your brand, your design, your “skill set”, and now you don’t like the responses?
What are you, a fucking watch god?
You dug your own hole here. Maybe when you grow up, you’ll look back on this and other situations and realize how you could have handled it differently.
See, what you don’t seem to understand, is while some here didn’t like the watch and made comments, there are many others who browse here and don’t post. Maybe they did like it, maybe they were even planning on buying it, but then they came across this thread and your posts.
They see your lack of professionalism and maturity, and now your watch is off their radar.
But, you don’t see that. You just wants to come here to be snarky and put your 2 cents in to show these guys. You showed em alright.
It was the equivalent of this:

Yeah, I'll keep living my dream and you guys keep doing whatever this is.
And yes, I'm a watch god. Finally some recognition.

Try multiplying your way of behaving here times every post you read anything negative about your watches elsewhere ?Orion wrote:If I want the truth I'll get it from people who know me and my product, not some keyboard jockeys who think they know me, my product and my goals after 15 seconds. Do you think that’ll help your sell your $1,400 watch ?
Congrats on finding people to pay that much for a watch, you earned that. That’s all your doing. I have no clue how they can justify giving you that much money for that watch but you’ve obviously done a magnificent job to get there.
Now try not to ruin that.
Re: Orion Calamity pre-order
Holy crap... I was one of those guys who was quietly applauding you for trying to create something other than a homage to some historic watch.
Your posts here suggest you are just immature and overly sensitive. Some people don't like your design - so what? Suck it up.
Your watch has controversial design elements and you gave it a dumb name. The fact there is a "bandwagon" of "haters" should've been expected by a reasonable, intelligent person.
What your posts here really make me wonder about is how you'd handle a post sale customer service request. I'm guessing your overly defensive attitude would make it a difficult process for the customer.
Given what I've witnessed here, I'll not support your brand.

I think he's just popped back over to WUS to be a whiny snowflake bitch there for a bit...Seppia wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 1:02 amSo this guy came here to complain, and when two of us ask him to talk more about his watch, he disappears?Seppia wrote:I second the request.gwells wrote:i'll bite. what's more unique about you than the other watchmakers that frequent this site?
If you stop whining and instead start talking about what makes your watch stand out you may get some great feedback here.
People see tons and tons of micros these days, it’s not the consumer’s job to go do some research, it’s the brand’s job to communicate.
Stop wasting your time complaining and write something about your watch, which I personally think doesn’t look bad at all in general.

I thought you learned your lesson months ago. Now you look like a fresh out of rehab drunk fool preaching to him for drinking...
You have the right to write whatever you want towards another microbrand owner, but should you ?

C'mon, seriously? Did you really completely miss the point or are you just stirring the pot?

Re: Orion Calamity pre-order
I really like the design of this watch and all it's aspects including the thinness which is really nice, even if I think it is overpriced by probably 400 dollars. Personally I can't blame the guy for coming in and being a little sensitive about something he spent god knows how many hours designing and coming up with a way to get it made. But even though I do agree with some of his comments on how he was treated he could have handled it better and tried to make it a selling point in the end.

Divorced from the drama, I like the watch at 800 used

Yep, and the U1 is a truly original design. Not some 2254 bastardized by a watch god.deepcdvr wrote:Divorced from the drama, I like the watch at 800 used

2254
So that’s why I liked it
So for about 500 more (or so), one could buy the real thing
