That’s disappointing. I’ve owned 4 Helson’s and still have one, and they were unique, not blatant copies like this.

Copies sell. Their "Skindiver" was pretty much a copy of the BP 50 Fathoms, correct? Their "Sharkmaster" was a copy of an Omega. I think they had a Certina copy in their product list as well.

It doesn't bother me too much when some brand produces some copy of a long-since discontinued model. I get more bothered when they produce copies of current production models.

I've never owned a Helson so I can't speak to their quality.

But, did it take Helson 8 years to produce the model?

Nothing bad to say of Helson, I enjoyed my 40mm Sharkdiver a lot.

Looking at those designs, that's true. I had never been interested in those and hadn't owned the originals, but have owned a Seamaster 300 so was very familiar with it.

at least when helson did it, they didn't have a horrible logo like borealis does. :)

and this looks like it has better finishing than my blackbeard does.

I knew someone who called it his "Boring Alice" dive watch.

Clearly they see the MKII delays and want to fill the void. The “Project 300” preorder buyers should be pissed, but likely they’ve just convinced themselves that Yao’s version will be magic.

Depending on the price point I might jump on this one. Not a fan of micros per se but I enjoyed my Borealis Estoril for the small while I had it. I’m sure Helson f&f will be better.

Helson should have gone with the 'Big Triangle' version.

I dig micros. That’s how I got into this hobby. I think the watch looks cool.

Nice domed crystal. I wasn't that impressed with the Estoril sapphire.

I've owned 3 Helsons and they've all been great. If I was a bigger fan of this design I'd get one. I got bored with the Estoril quickly though.

That’s a good point. Im a fan of that version almost exclusively. Hoping Helson releases both dial configurations

Wow right down to the font. I like it (BC I like the original) but I'm becoming less and less comfortable with these almost 1:1 copies. I did used to own this one though, and did like it...

Looks like an easy/cheap way to get another model on the shelf. Kind of cheapens his brand though.
