I agree that they make a nice knife, but their customer service could use some polishing. They provide virtually no communication on repairs.Chocodove wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 1:53 pmClaimed he was a ranger and combat veteran. Anyone got a paraphrased version of that story? Anything I ever tried to read was really long and drawn out.
I don’t particularly like it, but he has done and continues to do a lot of work with veterans, etc. and I don’t think anyone could doubt his love and support of the military and veterans. He also happens to make a very good knife.

Thanks. I guess I knew the gist of it. I sure wouldn’t mind finding a used PT.

At what point can someone learn basics of running an online business? Servers shouldn't crash this easily.

At this point it may just be better to sell them via a lottery type system.

Yup lottery would be simpler. Since I know nothing about e-commerce, is the crash at a service provider he's using? Or does he have a server at home with the software and thats crashing?

I can’t see how you get this wrong twice. Is he using a home server? I would think any cloud based service could Up capacity as needed very quickly, I know I can with ALS.manitoujoe wrote:He makes watches. Not servers. I feel bad for him.

With this kind of demand he should adopt the MKii Model. PAYPAL doesn’t crash and just deliver whenever.Chocodove wrote:At this point it may just be better to sell them via a lottery type system.

Too bad. I wonder when the next date will be. This weekend and the next week will be bad as I will probably not be at a computer or be able to set aside the time. I am wearing a Gen 1 now and was hoping to add another with summer colors and the ETA movement.

sounds like some bots crashing things.
halioswatches Guys, go to sleep and back to work. It's happening again and I'm shutting it down the site again until further notice. One question, if any of you can answer it: how does ONE individual place an order for 30 watches in 3 minutes, especially when the cart is set to a max of 3 watches? I suspect it's a buy bot that is crashing the site.

Jason's a good guy, I hope he can work this out quickly.
Re: Seaforth preorders tomorrow 1/18
He needs to go back to the secret list. A knock under the stall is all that was needed.

Why even bother with a limited run this go around. just take all the orders first and submit the work order to the factory afterwards. That would make EVERYONE happy. It's quite obvious the MOQ's will be met. So I don't understand why make it more complicated than it should be?

Post them on Ebay with BIN price equal to MSRP plus fees. This isn't a hard problem to solve.
