Andersmann's Classic 300M

Post by AtomicTom » Thu Nov 30, 2017 9:20 am

Has everyone had time to see this new Andersmann?

The watch is named the Classic 300M, and it has a bead blasted, along with
black DLC coated 44mm titanium case, 300M WR, AR coated double curved
sapphire crystal, knurled crown, cool textured black sandwich dials with yellow,
blue, or black second hands, and accents, rubber diver's strap, and exhibition
case-back revealing the ETA 2892 A2 to you.

Some pictures guys...

I think their watches seem pretty cool looking, but seems a bit forced from a branding perspective. I thought i once read that they are perhaps an Asian brand with this strange European sounding name and pretty high price points for what they are. When i look at their site now, they seem to be "Swiss Made" for water that is worth at this point but their address is in Hong Kong. I don't like the way this one looks as much as the others i have seen. That said, i would not pony up that kind of money for any of them i don't think.

I like the use of Ti and mix of finish, the texture dial adds a somewhat unique flavor though it may not be for everyone. The dial is otherwise kept fairly clean and i like the use of numerals. The date is my biggest gripe. 44 is a bit a large too. 42 would probably work with a wider audience ?

What’s the price ?

I like it a lot. The case construction gives this tried and true case shape a new twist. I agree with Brice that 42mm would be better, although it helps that it is 12mm thick. I'm a little skeptical that a small brand can pull off a watch this thin with a 500m rating and a display back.
