Halios Seaforth II

Post by R@cerx » Fri Nov 10, 2017 12:23 pm

With the upcoming release of the Halios Seaforth II, I'm curious if those here that got them the first time around still have them and their impression of it. I'm also curious to know what configuration folks got. Thinking of trying to get one this time and wondering how they wear sizewise on a 7 inch wrist.

It'll be fine. Just get one without a bezel.

Why no bezel, wouldn't it wear smaller?

I found it disappointing.

I had a fixed pastel and still have a blue dial with the dive bezel. Both are great, I would definitely recommend them if you like the look. I would not, however, pay the $1k+ ebay pricetag for one. The rotating bezel version wears larger than the fixie. Some people didn't like the finishing on the rotating bezels. The edges are a little sharp I guess? Didn't bother me.

I still have both of mine, but I will probably sell in favor of round II. I am looking forward to the GMT model with date.

The ebay/recon pricing is out of control. I'll try and get one on the next release, unless one pops up here at a fair price.

was not overly impressed with mine, even though it looked good and I wanted to like it... noisy rotor and sharp bezel were turn-offs at that price point... and I'm totally shocked that these resell at a premium  my Nodus with Swiss movement was 20% less and is a nicer watch imho

The next Seaforth offering is going to be another rushed purchase scramble. Might as well just buy a Nodus.

Jason said he is addressing the bezel sharpness in the next round. He also said if you don't like the sharpness on the first gen version he will fix it for free.

I like mine. I’m not sure it’s a keeper as I haven’t even looked at it in a month or so.
The bezel sharpness is my only real complaint.

That’s the part I don’t like.

I like them. The sharp bezel is a tip of the hat to Bond i'm sure, handy in a bind.
