Re: Raven Venture
pleasantly flat looking. Tudor should flip the script and rip off this design as a new BB.
Re: Raven Venture
Ranger dial & hands, plus date
Re: Raven Venture
I’d have preferred a no-date version. Otherwise, it looks good and Raven builds a quality watch.

Still not too fond of the random 30 on the bezel insert

Re: Raven Venture
Nice orange. I dig the hands. The 30 is weird but doesn't bother me.

Re: Raven Venture
Orange looks duller/less vivid and the crystal looks flat instead of domed. I agree, the rendering looked better.pbj204 wrote:

Here they are all together
I prefer #4 and #7
But I liked the orange in the renderings better too. Still like it tho

Re: Raven Venture
I'd love a no date. It's nice to see a cool design finally come out. That color is perfect!
Re: Raven Venture
I mentioned a no-date option to Steve several times. I think I pissed him off.andrema wrote:I'd love a no date. It's nice to see a cool design finally come out. That color is perfect!

Re: Raven Venture
He definitely doesn’t want to do a ND with a date ETA mvt. I asked too. Not in the works at all for this release.
For the orange dial date wheel is staying is black.
I want one but not sure which yet

Re: Raven Venture
With that being said. Of the choices offered IMO, the olive with orange second hand is the best looking.
Re: Raven Venture
I like the blue/grey with orange hand. The date window sticks out like a sore thumb, though.andrema wrote:With that being said. Of the choices offered IMO, the olive with orange second hand is the best looking.

Yeah I asked a few times as well. He said something to the effect of that it is not good to remove the date from the movement as it’s intended to be a date movement.CGSshorty wrote:I mentioned a no-date option to Steve several times. These two have come to the top for me too though I wanted the orange from early stageCGSshorty wrote:I like the blue/grey with orange hand. I don’t understand his sudden aversion to removing the date function. He has done it in the past and other manufacturers do it all the time.

Agreed it’s a pretty popular practice.CGSshorty wrote:I don’t understand his sudden aversion to removing the date function. He has done it in the past and other manufacturers do it all the time.
I admit I tolerate it for aesthetics but I don’t like that they just hide the date and it’s still clicking behind the dial when I turn the crown and there is still that date position when you pull the crown. I like how Halios and Farer did it with not date mvt.
I’d have been very happy with date at 6 as an alternative.

I agree. I hate that weird placement is the date at the 4:30 almost in middle of dial placement.

I got to see the olive/orange/black version at Wind Up. The Olive version is my favorite.
