Looking good Todd. Love that it is Titanium
I’d keep it at 41-42 as I think it’ll wear on the larger side. Good on you keeping the L2L at 48 max. White is a must have for such a watch. Personally I feel it’s a lot of grey surfaces so I’d like to see some contrast in the bezel. Either a balck insert ? Or raised black numerals/markers ?
Agree with the bezel needing black numbers. Other than that, I’d be in for 42. Really like this one, Todd. Good luck!

Edit: might not be possible, but a GMT with independently rotating hour hand would be bada$$ for those of us that actually travel across time zones a lot.

Similar style bezel, but black insert
^^^ that's really nice.

I would prefer quartz. This would be a grab and go for me.

Better in bronze.

I REALLY appreciate all of this tremendous input. Some thoughts:

I'd like to keep the bezel clean and original to the MA. It is an important design element for me. Owners could always modify the numbers in any color they choose. ;)

I would consider a bronze version or accented version but not out of the gate. Really want to focus on the black, blue and possibly a white dial for the first go around.

Back and forth on the lug width but leaning 20mm in respects to the MA.

If I do Swiss movements, the cost will climb significantly. I can do a Seiko movement and keep the cost very attractive. I am open though to what people want.

Best,
Todd

Way too much SS/grey on that original CMA too. That’d be a deal breaker for me personally. Very bland. But I’m sure it’ll have its followers.

Taken off the bracelet the colors tone down considerably. Reminds me of the SBBN017 that always looks better to me on anything else than a bracelet. ImageImageImage

I agree with you yet even on strap it’s too much for me. I feel like the bezel isn’t finished and needs a little something

Now a bronze bezel, which will darken/patina on the Ti case would be nice and unusual in microland too. It’s still reminiscent of the OG yet with some unique flair (and improvement imho)

Gotta picture it with a darker finish as it’s Ti and less gold bezel as it’ll darken with patina ImageImage I’d be in for one for sure

On... overload.

You guys rock. My thoughts are going a mile a minute now. Thinking white dial with orange and blue accents. Thinking bronze bezels. Thinking inverted bezels on black and blue dials with black and blue bezel number markers.

I need to get to the Bat cave and get working now.

Go with your original vision.
Too many want too many different things. Can’t appease them all.
Personally your original rendering looked good to me, but in the end, you make what you want.

Karlskrona Antarctic - First Renderings

Specs are great but I'm just not feeling that bezel at all. I'm prob in the minority.

Whatever happened to your B+M capeland xxl project ? Now that's something I'd love to see.

That project is on the back burner for now. I'd love to come back to it though as that is one of my faves of all time.

• No bronze please. I've never been a bronze guy and never understood patina on a watch. What happens when that patina starts creeping under the gaskets? I've never liked the look of patina on the case / bezel either. Keep bronze for boat hardware, not watches. And I especially don't like the idea of a bronze bezel with a SS case. I have never liked the look of mixed metals on a watch. Especially a rugged "tool" watch that I believe Todd is trying to target with this one.
