I looked at this and the sawtooth orange last night. At a glance most orange dials are pretty close color. Paler orange starts to go pastel and looks teeny bopper.Panerai7 wrote:Flat orange would be great.
Something like that
Baltic Shield in Blue, Orange, Yellow....

Amen to thatCGSshorty wrote:Regarding the lug holes; put a genuine Isofrane on the watch. If you can fit a nickel between the case and the strap, move it closer. It's a dive watch, forget about thick leather straps.

This blue would be nice
Or this yellow, with a full stainless steel bezel, like the Seaforth

I've always liked how orange Doxa's look because of the steel bezel, unlike the Seiko posted above which has a black bezel.

^^^Agree. I prefer orange dials with a SS bezel.
Re: Baltic Shield in Blue, Orange, Yellow....
What bezel does Baltic Shield have?
I was just showing the color of orange I like not the rest of the watch

Steel bezel is best with a coloured dial. I would also limit the amount of other colours on the dial and keep it to one or 2 max. Example on a blue dial stay with the white markers and maybe one small accent in red like the alpina example below if you really want more than one colour.
If you want to add more texture then applied markers to add depth would be the way to go.
applied marker example that shows depth

Stowa Qrange would look great and be a little different from other orange shades.

Thank you all for your input. I am working on an orange dial watch, name TBD.
The watch will have a matte orange dial (similar to DOXA), similar specs to the Baltic/Nordic Shield with the exception of the bezel which will be steel and the lug holes will move closer to the case. Black bordered hands, dial markers and date wheel.
I am planning on producing 99 pieces and offering to DWC members for a special price of $229.00.
Rendering to come very soon.

I want to position this watch as a terrific valued beater. It will come with a black NATO as well as one of my super comfortable rubber dive straps.
Re: Baltic Shield in Blue, Orange, Yellow....
Look forward to seeing the prototype/renders

Sounds like a great limited run. Id be interested in a blumo blue with Steel bezel as well. No sunburst, just a deep dark blue.Bradystraps wrote:Thank you all for your input. I am working on an orange dial watch, name TBD.
