Looks like one colorway will be yellow.

jason also mentioned that round 2 will all be date versions.

Re: seaforth, round two
If round 2 is all date versions, the value of the first watches might increase. The date window does nothing positive for the Seaforth.

I tend to want date windows in all my watches but i would have to agree that the seaforth looks better without the date. Also the sunburst blue will not be part of round 2 so this color also may hold value or possibly increase.

i agree w/the no-date comments. i like it better w/o. but, to be fair, i'm not a fan of date windows in general. at least jason puts his in logical places and not at 4:23:21.halioswatches: @cgsshorty @modestwrist orange will come, and it'll be 97% because of Chris' efforts and persuasive charm.

Re: seaforth, round two
This is one way to deal with excess demand.
Re: seaforth, round two
I pulled my black gilt from ebay. No black dials round 2. Just colors and date wheels. I'm sure they'll turn out fine, but round 1 will be difficult to top.
Re: seaforth, round two
i don't mind the idea of a matching color date window....will have to see a real life pic versus the rendering though....
Re: seaforth, round two
And why round 2 can't repeat round 1 in color choices ?
Re: seaforth, round two
Hell yes. Yellow/ yellow date isn't an improvement. I guess round three / Ver2 will be known as the Gerbera Daisy round.Seppia wrote:Judging by the first picture of this round, I guess the first batch will be known as "the good one" from now on
Sorry Jason. Just not a fan of that yellow model.

Re: seaforth, round two
I won't buy one with a date window. IMO this watch screams for the no-date dial.
I'm really bummed. I was working and got onto the website within an hour of the opening, but missed out. Jason said round two sold out in 5 minutes.
While I'm happy for him, I'm bummed.

Re: seaforth, round two
I guess we can't have it both ways.
We can't blast Bill Yao for selling "watch options" in lieu of real product and then jump all over Halios for selling out of a real product within minutes of release.
Maybe there's a happy medium somewhere. But I can't sit in front of my computer for a watch like I'm waiting for concert tickets to go live on Ticketmaster. Well, maybe I should. I dunno.

Re: seaforth, round two
its a nice watch for sure but i don't get the hysteria around getting one.....its not that unique to me that would cause me to be at the computer to grab one the second they go on sale.

No. It's not that special. It's solid value at the MSRP, but anything over that is a stretch.DenverBuff wrote:I guess we can't have it both ways.

It's a beauty with that fixed bezel and the dome being emphasizedpbj204 wrote:I pulled my black gilt from ebay. No black dials round 2. Just colors and date wheels. I'm sure they'll turn out fine, but round 1 will be difficult to top.
Did eBay charge you to cancel ?
Did u have it as auction ?

I had it as Buy It Now, so no fee to cancel. Auction style you have to pay a fee to cancel if it has any bids.Jeep99dad wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 10:07 amIt's a beauty with that fixed bezel and the dome being emphasizedpbj204 wrote:I pulled my black gilt from ebay. Re: seaforth, round two
It's a nice sporty watch, in a nice size, in nice colors beside black. Think about it... Your only options to something similar are IWCs (more expensive) or Hamilton khakis (black or silver).
I'm getting a white one, not sure about which bezel.

I don't mind the date wheel. The elephant in the room though, is why can Halios do a custom colored date wheel, and yet Omega cannot???
Re: seaforth, round two
my aquaterrra had a blue date as well.

Tons don't, and didn't for many years. It was a shitty cost cutting measure from Omega. So they fixed it after 10 years

Re: seaforth, round two
People are either ok spending $5,000 on shit they don't need with a brand that saves 25 cents on a visible part or they're not. If halios can find an ugly yellow date wheel, I'm sure omega could have rolled out the 8500 with one.
Re: seaforth, round two
totally agree. To spend thousands on a watch where a company is trying to save a buck or less by having a stock white or black date wheel blows me away. The extra buck won't impact them on a watch with a $6k MSRP.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 12:58 pmPeople are either ok spending $5,000 on shit they don't need with a brand that saves 25 cents on a visible part or they're not.
