Just realized that's a 1:1 of the Pelagos bezel. Tudor got it so wrong with the blue; this shade would've been fantastic.
So true, Tudor missed the boat on a nice midnight blue Pelagos.
Just buy this one:

They call it the "Smurf" for a reason. That blue is not my cuppa
That's actually one of the only good pictures I've seen of it. Also, "they" call it smurf because they're infantile retards.
It's a bad nickname (though i kinda like the watch), but nothing is worse than "bluesy".
Indeed. That's a terrible name. However, picking the worst TRF nickname is akin to deciding which turd tastes the worst.
Somehow my proposed YM2 nickname didn't stick: Clownmaster.
And to that end, why oh why do Rolexes need some sort of nickname? Does it somehow make them adorable, or justify the purchase, or make their owners feel as though they are part of an obscure, elite TRF club because they have a watch with a pet name?

Same thing I thought.

On a side note, I never understood ceramic bezel inserts either.
They look like an overly expensive and highly impractical answer to a question nobody ever asked.

I think the old aluminum bezels look significantly better.
I wonder if it has inner chamfers...

I was hesitant to get a ceramic SubND out of concern for the bezel material. After 3 years of 4-5 day a week wear it's proven to be a great decision. YMMV.

To be fair, it's the gmt2s that have shitty wearing inserts. Periodically someone posts about their scratch triangle in between the constant "ceramic is awesome" posts. I've yet to see a Sub with the same problems.

I've banged mine a few times and always take a look expecting a horror scene, yet never a problem. Let's hope it stays that way.

Really it's just number wear that's the problem. At least on the sub the numbers aren't large, so they are unlikely to get rubbed. The old six digit turn o graph was the worst though. The black DLC on the WG bezel was sooo delicate.
