It's not bad...but for some reason the first thing I thought when I saw it was Deep Blue.

Nice right Steve?! Has that totally classic feel, but with some neat hands, and nice modern
day edge with that terrific blue dial, and bezel.
Todd, think you're right on about the Deep Blue comparison too ! The style, and even blue
actually remind you of some of their watches.

Ah turdby. Few days were as funny on DWC as dogshit watch box day.

It's not quite a turd sandwich, but it's also not great.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2017 1:57 pmAh turdby. Few days were as funny on DWC as dogshit watch box day.

Just realized that's a 1:1 of the Pelagos bezel. Tudor got it so wrong with the blue; this shade would've been fantastic.

Agreed, that's a wrong blue as well.

It's a bad nickname (though i kinda like the watch), but nothing is worse than "bluesy".JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2017 7:48 amThat's actually one of the only good pictures I've seen of it. Also, "they" call it smurf because they're infantile retards.

Indeed. That's a terrible name. However, picking the worst TRF nickname is akin to deciding which turd tastes the worst.Chocodove wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2017 7:51 amIt's a bad nickname (though i kinda like the watch), but nothing is worse than "bluesy".JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2017 7:48 amThat's actually one of the only good pictures I've seen of it. Somehow my proposed YM2 nickname didn't stick: Clownmaster.
Re: New Tourby Lawless Dark Blue 42
is that really an accurate blue? it looks like someone took the saturation slider and dragged it all the way to the right.

If it's inaccurate, it's too attractive:

Re: New Tourby Lawless Dark Blue 42
The green one is worse though. Languid green bezel plus vibrant sunburst dial is BAD BAD BAD.
Re: New Tourby Lawless Dark Blue 42
Never thought I'd say these words but I'd take the green one over THAT blue.

It's funny now that ceramic has been around for a while. People are starting to get a little more honest about it. Sure it doesn't really scratch (though it does if you're rough). However, it
1) is either too shiny or too bland
2) shatters
3) requires serious tools to fix when it doesn't line up properly (which happens a lot with Rolex)
and best of all...
4) the stupid too big numbers scratch and look like shit since the DLC coating (or whatever) is only a couple microns thick.
I'll stick to $50 aluminum inserts that look better.
