Agreed. Great business model and works week for him. Just means sometime we don't get what we want. Happens Image

Well I guess the answer to my question is yes, I'm the only one who doesn't like how he goes to market :)

I just can't avoid thinking that if you sell out in a flash three times in a row, something went wrong in the process.

For the Nth time though, since many focus on "oh I see nothing wrong with it, it's actually very honest/full of integrity": lack of integrity was never my point, just poor design.

I guess I busted everybody's balls enough now, sorry for the multiple hijack.

I can't help but think if I sold out of something 3 times in a row, everything went right \_(ツ)_/¯

I'd think if I sold out 3 times in a row it would have told me I left a lot of money on the table, and should have produced more to begin with.

Well the flip side is he won't get stuck with inventory on the shelf that he has to pay tax on at years end. It's the low risk option.

Maybe the dude's operation doesn't scale? Not all businesses do. Maybe he's fine making whatever he earns now, without having to burn a bunch of midnight oil. Maybe he donates a bunch of time to soup kitchens.

There are an infinite number of reasons why this guy might not meet all demand, and many of them are VERY good.

I'm going with this. He obviously makes enough to stay in business. Some people don't want 3am nights working 15 hour days.

I'd also say that he has the opportunity to scale his business.

Some people want to stay in business for themselves.

Maybe he has a few kids and wants to spend time with them? His model works. I think he has room for growth but if he doesn't want it, then he's doing great in my book.

I don't know if he does a "sign up for email notification" thing. If not, he probably should. It's easy and fair to people who don't live online. If so, I can't really see what he could improve.

I tried that. He responded, back in December, when I asked if I could get an email when they became available. I haven't heard from him since.

I'm talking about automation. It would be a total PITA to have to email people personally. Just a little "enter email here for notification when it comes in stock" on this page:

Jason uses Instagram a lot. Set up an alert so you will get notified every time he posts. He doesn't post so often that it would be annoying.

I think that's a legit complaint. It should be fairly easy for him to have a listserv email that people can subscribe to and he can send out an email with release dates/times I advance.

Chris is correct that he interacts with his customers a lot on IG, particularly more in the last year or so, and I've found a lot more info there. And other that right now when he's been in production mode, he's always need good about responding to Qs there.

I thought I'd post this here too.
Someone asked me if I could compare profiles of all three bezel versions on WUS since I owned them all.
Ok so I unpacked the gilt sapphire one to take these for you so you can compare Image
I apologize for the poor quality cell photos But I hope it helps a bit

From top to bottom :
Fixed bezel gilt. My favorite profile with the dome being most prominent

Blue dive bezel a great compromise, dome looks good and utility of a bezel for those who need that. Bezel is thin enough.

Sapphire gilt which the thickest bezel at the edge and takes away from the profile view imho and minimizes the bezel

Thanks B. Does the fixed bezel appear to wear larger than the other two?

No pb.
I'd say it wears like the dive bezel of course smaller than the the sapphire one as the black bezel provides continuity of color with the dial making a larger black circle/surface area. But it's all perspective

I would have been fine with that. Unfortunately, it wasn't an option.

meh. $825? once you figure ebay fees and the VAT the seller probably paid in GB, they could even be losing money. it was $740 shipped to the UK.

So you would have to add another 20% approximately for import duties.
