Momentum Field Walker Auto

Post by JDC222 » Mon Jun 12, 2017 3:13 pm

I popped in to the Momentum office today, to check out the new Field Walker.

It's a 44mm brushed case, with 22mm lugs. The orange second hand really pops against the matte black dial. It comes with a sapphire crystal, powered by the NH35 movement.

I liked it enough, to take one home with me and the generosity of the staff certainly helped with that decision.

Retail is $385usd.

Cool watch! I can see endless Nato combinations that would look good on it.

Nice pick-up. Solid, straight forward timepiece with a reliable movement and no glaring design miscues. Would be even better at 42mm, but that's just me.

I do too Terry ! I like supporting local companies, like Momentum. The brushed s/s bracelet for the Field Walker should be in this week too. It's a solid watch, for the price!

I'm a big fan of Momentum's stuff. I've got a couple of M1 quartz divers that I've had for years. Just indestructible.

Batteries lasted 5+ years. Sent them off to Momentum for a battery change and overhaul for $30.00. Great people and the CS is unparallelled.

If anyone is interested in any of their watches, let me know and I'd be happy to look in to it for you!

They put out a good product at a fair price and - as I said - their customer service is solid.

I'll continue to support them.

I had one back in the 90s . . . when they were still called St. Moritz.

That Aguamatic is nice! Of course a homage to Rolex, just like my digital was a homage to Casio digitals of the time.

This was mine. I think it was a birthday gift from my wife, long before I became a watch nerd. As you can see, it took a beating. The lume pip at 12 was lost, and the lume panels on the hour hand fell out. I sent it to St. Moritz/Momentum for repair. It was long out of production so they couldn't replace the hour hand, but at least they removed the lume panels that were floating around inside. I eventually gifted it to a young nephew.
