I respect everyone's points of view. I realize I could have been more descript in my original opinion and because I wasn't, I opened myself up to stuff. That's on me. I have restated and clarified my opinion.

I absolutely agree with the general consensus here regarding the different types of Microbrands. They vary in range and level of difficulty to be successful.

Todd, with all due respect, I believe it was your original opinion that dug this hole initially. What I mean to say is, perhaps you should have rethought an opinion of any sort directed to the topic of your post (micro vs micro). Of course, your attempts to restate and clarify were then met with even more disapproval, which bolsters the suggestion that saying nothing at all would have prevented almost 2 pages worth of reprisals directed at you.

This is what started it in my opinion..interjecting about his watch in a thread that is nothing to do with his brand.

Then he went on to explain the difference between micros and put himself out there for questions and criticism.

DWC owners and mods allow him here and to post and discuss his wares . Cool .

But when he interjects and wants to push he has a brand in many threads that have nothing to do with him and then comment about micros and ordering from NOOB factory over and over, and while maybe not intentional, making him sound like he is doing something better with his brand than everyone else, it starts to grate on us.

That's fair. I have bitten my tongue and tasted blood regarding this subject many times in the past and could/should have done so again.
Sometimes pride gets the best of me. I hope you can understand.

Apart from the design aspect

That watch in the OP, if they use a Sellita 200 then it sounds like good value. I do not know exactly what the SW200 costs, but for the SW300 I paid on the higher side of $300 USD each, so assume they are a fairly similar cost.
Now I dont know their other costs, but even from a Chinese maker it has to cost a bit, with shipping as well.
So even if they are paying $200 for a movement, then $500 a watch is pretty good if they have a reasonable quality.

This thread is looking a lot like the discussions on WUS.

Can we please discuss watches?

nah, if this was a WUSsy discussion, 25% of the posts would have been deleted by now.

If this was a WUS discussion, half the posts would have been deleted, several people would have been banned, and an overly zealous moderator would have come in and big brothered everyone.
