Are applied markers on the dial or even a sandwich dial feasible?

Dump all the extraneous text (automatic and 1000 ft) from the dial and I'd buy one.

I may just have 300M under the TREUDD.

Awesome! My only other comment is that I would consider slimming the bezel down a bit. Loving the proportions that my Cascais has.

I actually am considering both features for another dive watch which will be more of a retro throwback design in the 40mm size area.

I personally would remove a line of txt above 6
The 12 o'clock marker lack substance to me. I like the logo in blue maybe.
A bit deeper blue too.

Here are updated renderings of both dial variants. I think I may slim up the bezel a tad.
Also considering a black gilt dial version.

I have always been of the opinion that lumed dial watches were a bit of a niche market. Not sure there is mass appeal.

Let me play with the rendering a bit by enhancing the marker boarders as well as on the hands too. Might make it pop a bit more.
Also considering a bolder blue.
