Sweep hand mod?
He is going to paint the second hand a different color so it can be seen. At least I think that is what he is saying.

Sweep hand mod?
yup, flat blk hand on flat black dial makes it tough to see, so it's going in for a minor paint job.

update: just back from the mod shop:

New model collaboration with Luisaviaroma has been released in blue:

available here: https://www.luisaviaroma.com/en-au/p/u ... 2I_gm_c60

Blue looks quite dark and subtle. Luisaviaroma label on the dial is not too intrusive.

The dial on that one looks unbalanced.

placement and balance of the text make it a bit bottom heavy maybe  , they could have put the LUISAVIAROMA directly under UNIMATIC maybe.

But what do I know , I am not an Italian fashion designer

I would've put unimatic up top and their brand logo as the first line of text on the bottom. That would've balanced it better.

Agreed. I’d take the Scurfe instead.

I like that version and wish I’d have grabbed one. At $400 its fine, just not at $900+.

BTW..... dibs!

It’s a great watch for its price point.
I’ve got the bracelet and straps. Nice kit.

I was in two minds about the u2 for a while, love the brushed case of the 2016 release, but loved the dial of the 2017... only I'm not a fan of the sandblasted case.

After a few months of not being able to stop thinking about it I caved in.

Decided to try doing a brush finish on it myself which wasnt too bad. Then decided to polish the case with the idea being to re-brush it afterwards... but I actually really like the polished finish and am sticking with it.

It's no where near a mirror polish, and you can still see some faint brushing and texture from the sandblasting but I'm happy with it for now.

Absolutely love the watch, my only one gripe is that the lume could be a lot better. With it being C1 instead of C3 or BGW9 it fades pretty quickly.
I can live with it though as it's not terrible, but as my main diver has 8 layers of c3 the difference between the two is huge.

Would be great to see them update with better lume on the next model.

They make great watches. But I am not a fan of that style clasp. They are usually way to long.

Yeah I do think they look really large as well. Compared to the previpus model where the sizing I think was perfect. If they lost the border round the lume I think it would look much more balanced.

Having said that though I think I could live with it, really wanted to get one last year, bur the upgraded bgw9 lume amd new lumed saphire bezel has me really tempted!

Love the ghost marker version too, but I love my date divers.

Hard to tell, at first I thought it looks alot like that generic ratchet clasp that you see on a few other micros, kinda like the strapcode one, but it does not seem to have that extra piece on one end, so it may be shorter.

I had one of the early Unimatic bracelets, but I found it a bit heavy and overpowering, and not overly well finished or refined, and it only had a basic flip lock clasp. I am not sure if this new bracelet is similar, or if they have improved the whole thing

Yep. I was thinking about buying another Modello Uno after stupidly selling my first one, but the maxi dial kills it for me.
