Crap I need to fix that. Thanks for the heads upRyeguy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 12:29 pmThis morning. Actually, immediately after I read this thread.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:53 amChris when did you try the code? I had this issue a few days ago but I thought I fixed it. At least I hope I did.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 6:45 amAgreed. This is a pretty low thing to do.
I'll vote with my wallet and order another Toxic today just to spite C&B. F- them.
Order placed.
PS - Terry - the discount code offered in the email sent Monday, March 19, isn't working. No big deal as I was able to use the standard offered discount in the pop-up window. Just an FYI.
Thanks for your business bro.
I tried cutting and pasting directly from the email plus a bunch of permutations - upper case, lower case, with the hyphens and without.

Which straps are those?toxicavenger wrote:Honestly I do believe there is a ton of overlap in the watch strap business. So I have no idea if they did. But they did know that I carried them (since I showed them). So it is weird that few a months later they came out with the exact same nylon and hardware (except the buckle). I showed the jungle green strap at Wind up. But they did tell me "all watch strap companies stick together" .Heuerville wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:00 pmThat's shitty. If C&B stole it, they can go fuck themselves.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 6:27 pmI didn't collab anything with them. But I did mess up and show them one of my straps at Wind Up. So maybe that is where they got the idea from.

Not about deleting it, but yes we had some back and forth on the design. They claim they were approached by the factory that created the TimeFactors design (they credit them for the style) to be a distributor for them.

Interesting comparison of the Shiznit versus the copy C&B Supreme.

It definitely did for sure.
I still don't understand people's hang up regarding sliding keepers. They don't make sense if you have a strap with extra nylon you are folding back. They
only make sense if you have a 8" or bigger wrist. And like I said before I don't like labels. Not to mention I have to pass to cost onto the buyer. That isn't my goal at all.

That sounds familiar...

BTW Terry, I woke up after the last get together with an Orange rubber stuck in my Watch box and a vague recollection of you whispering something in my ear.....Thanks!

I have a Haveston with the sliding keeper. It is a nice feature on that particular strap as it is a short NATO and the sliding keeper allows me to center the clasp and not fold the tail (there really isn't enough tail to fold).toxicavenger wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 8:44 pmIt definitely did for sure.

This isn't the reason I bought it though. I just liked the colors offered.
I'm not certain if my experience is common or just unique to me, but my Haveston has gotten really frayed along the edges, and I haven't worn it all that much.
I haven't experienced this with other NATO's (even those I've worn much more). I know I can just hit the edges quickly with a lighter to burn back the Irish pennants, but it's just something I didn't expect to have to do so quickly and after so little use.

Yep the sliding keeper does work great on the Havenston. And that is because it is only 270mm. I have one of the original versions before Havenston adopted them as their design. I didn't like the design so I passed on it.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 31, 2018 5:03 amI have a Haveston with the sliding keeper. Re: Toxic "homage"?
Two quick points.
First, I’ve known Terry on the forums, trades and such, since strap was only half a word to him. Just a stand up guy.
And second, that line about “all xxxxxx stick together” is typically used by the lame to justify hanging on the coattails of the successful.

If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
Re: Toxic "homage"?
Every time this thread gets bumped, I get the urge to buy another Toxic.
Just ordered an admiralty grey Shiz to go with the navy I have for this.

I just ordered a C&B Supreme since Terry’s straps are so shitty.
