Re: FUBAR Rolex Journey
Guys I have been MIA for a while trying to get some things in order with ToxicNatos. So sorry for not updating you all on ODB. But I want to eventually make ToxicNATOs a full time gig, so that means I need to start incorporating more time into it. And making that time productive.
The Airking is running +1 over 24 hours. It has a new aftermarket crystal and aftermarket hands on it. I have all Rolex OEM parts in the movement, I have around 2400 total in to it including what I have paid my watchmaker.

There you are! Glad to hear that all is going well bro!

Re: FUBAR Rolex Journey
The case stuff isn't all that noticeable. With a clean crystal, the bezel almost looks like an intentional style statement rather than a fugitive from a cockup.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
Re: FUBAR Rolex Journey
I'm glad you got it running, but it still hurts to look at it.

Re: FUBAR Rolex Journey
I wonder how it would look bead blasted. The brushed and polished surfaces really accent the bad spots.
Re: FUBAR Rolex Journey
Terry, are you using the curved spring bars to fit 20mm straps into the 19mm lugs?
I think I may try the same thing on my 62MAS reissue. I love it on your navy blue shiz, but there is a little wrinkle with the thicker 20mm material and the 19mm lugs. Guessing a slight curve in the bars would fix it.

Now that's a good idea.Ryeguy wrote:Terry, are you using the curved spring bars to fit 20mm straps into the 19mm lugs?

Agreed
I don't know, I like it how it is honestly.
Yes. And the Rolex spring bar tips are at .9mm, the curved spring bars are .8mm. So not much difference. I would not do this on the 62MAS. I think it has 1.2mm drilled lugs. So your best option is to get a thinner middle section on the spring bar. If you measure I can see what would work on it correctly.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2017 1:58 pmTerry, are you using the curved spring bars to fit 20mm straps into the 19mm lugs?
