ToxicBUTTA', new baby in town!

Post by toxicavenger » Tue Oct 11, 2016 6:14 pm

So they guys who made my ToxicVERSO/BOND did a great job. So I pinged them about making a grey version, and black version in the same super soft material. The reason behind this is because the seatbelt straps that I have purchased so far do not tend to be pliable. And the sealing/melting of the buckle holes suck on them. So I wanted a strap that could be a alternative to the mysterious seatbelt strap, but hold up longevity wise. They did a excellent job on these. I will get more colors in the future.

Oh I was going to call them ToxicBUTTA', but wife said it was ghey. :crybaby:

Here is a comparison pic next to a grey TN.

Edit: I am keeping the Butta' name.

Nice, grey looks great.
The Watchgecko seatbelt ones are very flexible/pliable, but you are probably right about the holes sealing.
The Cincy seatbelt ones will arrive in two weeks.

Terry, are those like the stripey from gecko? Those are almost too soft and thin for a diver but comfortable on smaller watches

These are around 1.4mm, I wear one on my Seiko MM a ton of the time. Now I have them in 20-22mm, so I will put one on my SRP and SKX also.

Just enough to give it a little more "ass" to it.

I can't sell something that I don't believe is a good finished product, too many issues with warranties, that leads to lost money. For guys with deep pockets this isn't a big deal, but I am not one of those guys.

Also I don't see much of a market on nylon straps over $20, to get those buckle holes finished correctly takes a huge investment, I am not willing to gamble on that yet. The dude from hungary on wus has had a horrible time in the last 6 months trying to make it happen. And his straps are going to be $40 on up. If he get's them sealed like the pics he showed me then they are worth it, but that is a small market.

When your momma sent you to the store to get some Butta', she might have been talking about this strap.
