PS Duarte a very nice and responsive guy to deal with leading up to deciding to send it in, nice to see.
He definitely gives you the warm and fuzzies when sending a watch to some one you don't know and only heard about on the net

I didn't send anything, yet, and am already impressed.

When I ordered a domed crystal, I only had the 775.

Just bought a 773.

I didn't want to delay things for the arrival of another crystal, so Duarte let me buy one of his.

Duarte just emailed me that he fixed the date function for me on my 779. He had to replace a gear from the mechanism that broke off! yuck, I need to learn not to set the date so close to midnight. Hopefully those crystals come soon, cuz my BOR got here today from Harold and it is SWEET.

On Monday I sent my 777 in for a few mods- sapphire, black day / date wheels & orange tip the second hand. I also sent him Marine Master hour & minute hands to swap out as well. Last but not least, bead blast all of the polished areas & leaving all the brushed areas alone.

I'll post photos as soon as it arrives.

Anyone know if the bezel has to come off for the domed crystal to be installed?

Thanks.. I got a response from Duarte too..

"It is like a Seiko SKX007 crystal, pushed out from the back, pushed in from the front. It is easier to remove it and install it with the bezel off. Less chance of mishaps"

So after I bought a DD crystal and sold it just last week, my 775 is on the way to Duarte for a sapphire upgrade.

I'm still like wtf

Wasn't sure I was keeping it but it's staying for the foreseeable future so I thought I'd dress it up :gayumbrella:

I'm impressed with Duarte too. He received my SSC on Friday, the hands on Saturday. It's done and shipped out today. Crazy fast.

Duarte gives good watch. :) My one dealing with him and I'll say his customer service & communication was second to none.

Thanks - it's entirely possible that I'll end up flipping this, so it's probably not good for me to put any more into this.
