I like standard NATOs because it does exactly the opposite and doesn't center the hardware on the wrist. Better when on the computer often.

I cut mine and don't center- I leave it on the side.

I have tried to center it before but found it kinda makes the watch flop from one side to another

I think it's funny you have to remind Terry of stuff like this.

On the hardware issue, I actually prefer the Zulu set up to the Nato. I find the extra strap and keeper make the strap flare out too much on the sides of my wrist (probably because my wrist is relatively small and also flat on the top and bottom).

You're right Ben, sometimes it flops depending on the watch and all the tightness and all that.
This is probably a personal preference for everyone. I actually like mine like this in the pic because my usual position of the wrist in the car or at my desk is on the side, so I like the buckle to not be on that side, especially with all the extra (useless to me) rings/folds/tucks :)

Yes I'm sure with leather it doesn't move as much either

Yep, leather does help. Some watches though, like pam 243, would wobble on any strap :)

Maybe a two-piece leather strap would be a solution?

;)

^^^This is the dude who pointed me in this direction, but I still wear the buckle on the side so it doesn't chew into my computer while working on it.

You need to publish this on WUS - more publicity :-)

They don't allow my kind there.

Now if someone here wants to do it I will hook them up with a little something-something

Next test.....pro street burnout on ashphalt using some VHT

If it survives that......game over for all other straps.

I'm with you Art! That why I prefer the short side of my straps to be almost 90mm (std 2 pc straps) when I get them made. It puts the buckle to the left underside of my wrist like your pic and that's where it allows my watches to stay centred on my wrist all the time.

This is why I will only use "single pass"... to keep the hardware centered. Never knew you could adjust these so successfully. Nice.

Terry, I'm glad to see you removed the watch for this test.

Pretty sure he would have attached the watch if he hadn't already flushed it down the toilet.
