Question for ToxicNATOs
Hi T-really like the looks of your straps-good work.
I've recently been wearing all of (Ok both) of my watches on nylon. Somebody here gave me a grey mil-spec (from County Comm I think) with the stitched in keeper. I've really come to dig the hell out of it.
My affinity for it may have something to do with the fact that it's a nicer made strap and as others have echoed-all my natos are cheap hole stretched pieces of crap too?
pics from intergoogles:
ToxicNATO mil-spec in play?

Re: Question for ToxicNATOs
So are you asking if I would carry those? Because my vendor has them so I can get some if you want them?

Re: Question for ToxicNATOs
I'd buy a couple for sure. Call them Toxic-MIL-Natos
Here's the thing-I have a Maratac one from CountyComm and it's great but very thick (no homo). The thicker one works fine with my Seiko-has more spring bar-watchcase clearance. It doesn't however work with my Omega with much less clearance-this is where the thinner nato style works but the crappy natos I've been buying with stretched holes and whatnot are teh hep C. I'm sure a ToxicNATO will solve this-but I really like the military style.
As an aside-this day forward I'd like to take credit for the unit of measurement describing a watch case/spring bar clearance. I'd use SI units so I guess MM-probably no need to get down to um etc. I could be a valuable piece of information to those in the strap industry
Example:
Hi, my name is Herb and I'd like to buy a new nato for my watch.
Sure Herb, what's your Moishlashen number?
The Moishlashen number is 1.5.
Thank you Herb, I have all the information I need-your straps are on their way.
kthxbaibai

Now the ones my vendor carries says it is a medium weight nylon, which so are the ToxicNATOs. That leads me to believe it will be a tighter woven strap unlike the Maratac's.
So do you want to try a couple and we can see where this goes?
He also has some camo straps available. And a few two-pieces.

Re: Question for ToxicNATOs
Prolly just the OD one TDub. Maybe FDEish color too? I'd try and if the moishlashen factor is too high I could use them on my Seiko (a high moishlashen capacity watch).

Re: Question for ToxicNATOs
Hopefully others will chime in? I don't want to buy 100 of them. I'm poorer than a Manatowac County dental floss salesman

Terry, see if he can do longer, 10.5 is a lil' short. Also ask him how the nylon is fused together to make that loop, could be scratchytoxicavenger wrote:moishlashen wrote:Prolly just the OD one TDub. Maybe FDEish color too? I will ask him tonight and see. I think today is a holiday in Australia so he might be to drunk to answer his emails.Panerai7 wrote:Terry, see if he can do longer, 10.5 is a lil' short. I will probably order a few just to check them out. I just have so much money going out right now I need to slow down.

Re: Question for ToxicNATOs
If he has it in stock you only have to pay what you want. Now if I was getting them custom made it usually takes at least 500 of them to get some one to make them.moishlashen wrote:Hopefully others will chime in? I don't want to buy 100 of them. Re: Question for ToxicNATOs
Sure-I'll take a couple of em each-20mm for the Omega and a couple 22mm for Seiko SKX007 . No hurry at all and hopefully more people will chime in.

I'd try one of those in 22mm for my Seikos.

The regular Mil straps he has are in 18 or 20mm. The camo versions he has in 20 or 22mm.BSears wrote:I'd try one of those in 22mm for my Seikos.
