ToxicRUBBER...not the kind that makes you itch

Post by andrema » Fri Jan 22, 2016 7:23 pm

Terry sent me a ToxicRUBBER strap to check out. I received it today and took some photographs for Terry and you guys.

I also put it on my U1 to see how it fit and to show you guys how his slightly thinner version of the ISO would look on a tool diver.

My take is this:

It is a little more firm than the ISO, but I like that. This is because it helps keep the watch in place a little better and it is easier to move the keepers around. Plus...since I have 7.25 inch chick wrists, the slightly shorter TN rubber strap tail sits more on the back of my wrist, instead of wrapping around to the side of my wrist. It does not smell like vanilla, it actually does not smell at all -- this is a moot point, since I actually like the vanilla smell. The thickness of the strap is a plus, since I feel that the ISO is a bit too thick and tends to overpower most watches. The last thing is the underside of the strap -- it does not have the perpendicular grips, like the ISO. The TN has a concave design, similar to the Hirsch Pure strap. This makes it comfortable and not a "sweaty" rubber...like Ben likes.

Here are some photos:

Nice. I like the attention to detail to the buckle.

Does the tongue have enough angle so the strap lays flat? Or does it have that bump?

Looks good. That answered my terribly phrased question. Thanks.
