Out of all the watches I've had, the Supermarine is a real fucker when [trying] to change straps. I absolutely love the watch, it's stylish and rugged, and the company seems to have great CS, but easily the most difficult to change straps. I have it on the integrated rubber, and okay, that's easy and straightforward to get off. I put it on Bremont's velcro nato which was an absolute bitch to get on without scratching the lugs (didn't manage that ). It was even worse to get off, so difficult I'm considering a ritual burning with an incantation directed at whoever the fuck designed it. Then getting the rubber back on was impossible: the dog skulked off, the magnifier is covered in spit, probably flecked with blood and the neighbours came round to ask if everything was okay. I got one end of the spring bar in and the other end compressed and the strap in position, but do you think I could get the other end in? I think the hole in the strap must be a very slightly loose fit for the bar, and so it's just luck when, and a big-fucking-if, you get it in. Just me, or what?

LOL....I have a few watches that are a pain in the ass to change as well.

My Pelagos is the same way. Looks like my BB GMT is no different

Apply some liquid soap to the sides of the strap. It even helps with Sinn rubber.

Pro Tip: try just doing regular strap changes - they are much more difficult while fucking.

Gotcha, gotta stop the multi-tasking

use electrical tape on the lugs of the watch. not painters tape that shit doesn't work. next get some booze.

i use a freaking swiss army knife on most straps when putting them on. bracelet's are a different story.

I didn't think the rubber was that bad w/the U1. I thought putting the bracelet back on completely sucked.

Sounds like unless I want problems...I'd better leave my bracelet on! Thank goodness its fall. I like the rubber straps on in the summer.

One lesson I’ve learned with Sinn, is that once you find spring bars that work well for the bracelet or fitted rubber, store those bars with the bracelet/strap.

I've had the same issue with the BB (I actually had an easy time getting the bracelet off, but I couldn't get it back on). If I ever get another modern Tudor on a bracelet, I'm never taking it off.

I've had the same issue with the BB (I actually had an easy time getting the bracelet off, but I couldn't get it back on). If I ever get another modern Tudor on a bracelet, I'm never taking it off.

I was so petrified of taking the bracelet off my Pelagos after reading how hard it was on the forums I didn’t touch it for about 8 months. I finally got a loupe and some liquid courage like Terry suggested and tackled it. It was actually fairly easy using the loupe so I could see. Putting it back on was actually even easier - the trick that worked for me was using two strap changing tools at the same time, one on either side. The tolerances are so tight that it literally drops right into place after both spring bars are compressed fully. Pliers or tweezers would probably be even simpler but 2 tools are much cheaper
