Don't like the font, don't like the red hands, don't like the white date wheel against the off white sub dial.

nope.

and
But unlike the ALT1, the Bremont Comet DH-88’s bright red rotor has been fitted with a small sampling of spruce plywood sourced from the undercarriage of the original race-winning aircraft.

hasn't the whole "this watch has one drip of jizz from some famous person's dick" fad run its course yet?

I'm sure someone will pop in shortly to say why a jarring white date wheel is great against the cream subdial, on an $11,000 steel watch - but I think you're 100% correct. It looks like shit.

This watch is an LE and therefore will only be sold in small numbers. So it's not really worth the expense to manufacture a matching date wheel when there's an existing stock of white wheels - especially at this price point.

From what I understand Bremont "Collectors" have already put money down for the rights to own. I don't love it...

The original LE's: the P-51, EP 120, and Norton are still the best in my opinion...

Jesus guys. It's been a feeding frenzy on Bremont lately. Honestly it's not for me though.

Every comments section on the net is full of keyboard ninjas with an opinion. Pay it no mind.

As for the notion of value, seriously? If that's what's driving someone in this hobby, then they can stick to Chinese-made micros and G-Shocks. If you're looking for an investment, buy real estate: if you're looking for a watch, buy what you like (and can afford) and wear what you buy. Honestly, it would be impossible for me to care less about the fact that I can buy X brand watch for less. Guess what? I don't want X brand watch, I want this one. And if you're only making 100, well then, I guess I'm going to have to pay what you're asking. Mind you, I'm currently broke, so I won't be buying one, but trust me, if I would I could.

not a fan...imo you'd be throwing your money away. seriously. you may not think so right now, and you may not think so ever...but Id think you did.

can you take this into the water? of course not, it's a pilots watch. these watches really don't have anything appealing to the eye. maybe the shit subdial is the 'best' of the group, but that's about it.

again, my opinion only...if you and your friends like them, then that's all that really counts.

Well, I'm clearly in the minority, but I quite like the looks. What I have a problem with is a steel watch with
Bremont's BE-54AE movement – a COSC-certified automatic caliber based on the ETA 7750 that exhibits some neat modifications like red screws, a Glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring, and Nivaflex 1 mainspring
for an asking price of £7995 :hand: :nutkick:

In fairness, the original renderings and photos were unflattering, to say the least. I saw some photos of the actual watch and it looks great.

I've handled it in person, and I'm sold (if I had the money ;) ).

Pictures didn't do it for me either, but man, on my wrist... One of the nicest LE's they've done.

Great pictures, absolutely brilliant. Sometimes the washed out close up renderings kill the overall feel of the watch. Looking at it again I actually like the gold a bit. I've been thinking I would like a gold watch, but have no clue what would get in a somewhat reasonable price realm. I know that adds quite a bit to the price having a proper gold cased watch and by the time I got that far I think I may change my mind.
