Terry's idea of getting it pc'd or bead blasted is probably as good as you're going to get. I think it would look great with a natural finish.

It's more a modular mid-case, I think - I'm not sure it's structural though. If not, it's a case sleeve.

It's a sleeve. Goes over the case very simply. Couple screws and anyone can swap out.

Yes, and Bremont's customer service is so good, twenty of them have already been sent out to Matt.

I like it but I think it would bother me over time if the discoloration became very noticeable. I don't know if I'd pay $250 either to resolve the problem for a new barrel.
