just seems weird as generally my bracelet goes on super easy, but taking it off can be a pain sometimes.

Be careful with those Bremont spring bars. There are strap and bracelet versions, at least on the S500.

Ok guys I figured it out. First a pic of the hole in the 4H lug (normal) then the 7H lug (drilled too close to the edge):

I sent an email with pics to my AD - I'm sure they'll make it right. In the meantime, the watch is on NATO just to be safe!

As expected, Brice saw this thread and immediately offered to make it right (thinking the problem might be with the bracelet he sold me.) DWC FTW again! :HTFU:

Tsk tsk Bremont

Does that call for a new case?

I think so; here's the relevant part of the Trip-Tick case from the Bremont web page diagram:

I would send some photos to Mike Pearson. I am sure he can expedite the case replacement for you.

Great suggestion - thanks! As expected, Mike immediately answered my email message and directed the team at Henley-on-Thames to treat my repair as a priority. It's a tribute to Bremont that the worst thing about this for me will be having my ALT1-C absent while it's repaired!

Shit happens, all the time.

Bremont is one of those companies that will always be there do do something about it when it does happen.

It's a drag to be without the watch for a while, but it'll be returned good as new.

Can't say the same about Damasko service. :raised:

Joe, those are the hour and minute hands - though I like Matt's answer.

I just dropped my watch off at the Chicago AD for shipment off to Jolly Ol' England. I'll keep you updated as this progresses. Thanks for all the encouragement guys.

Man, Tony. You've had some bad luck with the two watches you really wanted - then got. Hope it gets resolved promptly.

Here's an update: I got an email from Carly at Bremont NY that my ALT1-C arrived there today and ships to Henley this afternoon. They're moving fast so I'm hoping for a quick turnaround!

Antonia at Bremont HQ in Henley emailed me last week Wednesday to say she had my watch and was making its repair a "matter of absolute priority." She wrote again this morning to say the watch is on its way back to me! What's more, when I checked the tracking number she gave me, I found she shipped it FedEx International Priority and it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow! I'm astounded that this repair took a mere 15 days - including a trip across the pond and back; 15 weeks would be expected from many watch companies. I'll post again once I have the watch in hand, but this was too good to sit on for a day. Bremont FTW.

Kobold just repaired and returned my Soarway in two weeks. I'm pissed it broke in the first place but I can't complain about the service.
