Bremont SM500 newbie question

Post by kempoman » Wed Jul 23, 2014 5:40 am

Guys, I can't find any info on the followings. Pls enlighten,
1) Does a SM500 anti-shock set up is like a MB II and could take the same amount of shock?
2) What amount of anti-magnetic claims for a SM 500?
3) So, the bezel is using ball bearing system?
4) Does the hardening steel process apply to whole case? Bezel? Bracelet?
5) Any pics link of the movement for SM 500?

This review states it uses the same movement and mounting of the MBII.

Philip, I can't answer those questions. However, I have it on excellent authority that a SEAL team chose the SM 500 as their unit watch.
Do you have more stringent requirements?)

Jay, strange those datas are not available. I agree with you it's a SEAL watch but those data are the limits she could take. The overall design is a winner.

Should i say, incoming.......

Cool video. My only question relates to the date window being exposed in the front side of the anti-magnetic plate. I wonder if that open space reduces the anti-magnetism of the overall case.

Ok, this is what i read & find out. For Faraday cage plus anti-shock only for MB, SM, Terra Nova & Boeing (non-chrono).
