Charlie Boorman

Post by AntonioPD » Sun Jun 08, 2014 4:36 am

Hey Guys - one of Bremont's partners is Charlie Boorman - actor, motorcycle enthusiast, travel guy. The Skirt and I just watched Long Way Round and Long Way Down, and are now watching By Any Means: Ireland to Sydney. Bremont watchspotters will particularly enjoy the latter two. Highly recommended!

Thanks, Tony. I've seen a view quick bits of his on YouTube - he's an interesting cat and has good taste in watches, too

I've seen the first two you mentioned and loved them... Didn't know there was a third... Will have to check it out.
My favorite part of their trip had to be in Siberia on the road of bones.

Agreed, good movies.

Charlie also competed in one of the last Dakar's held in Africa and got hurt there. But stuck around. He's serious about motorbikes. :-)

Apparently he's made a name for himself filming these kinds of shows and has quite a few out there. We found the first two on NetFlix and the others on YouTube.

Not sure about Charlie, but I believe Ewan is wearing an Alt1C for Long Way Down. Gray / Silver version :)

I doubt anyone ever made an interesting movie while wearing a Steinhart (or whatever).

He did a US adventure recently too - doing extreme stuff, from Hawaii to Alaska.
He also made the final of Masterchef here in the UK.. so the dude can cook!

I believe Charlie wore an ALT1-Z in the Long Way series, and a Supermarine S500 in the By Any Means shows.
