Bremont founder injured in plane crash

Post by rain_maker » Tue Aug 13, 2013 1:03 pm

Just saw that Giles English was injured in a plane crash. Sounds like he'll be ok and that his skills were able to save both his life as well as his passengers.

Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Yeah saw that on my feed this morning, glad he is going to recover.

Nice reminder that Hugh Laurie is a Bremont fan.

Yeah, I wonder what they mean by "serious injuries"

When you look at the wreckage of the plane... Damn.

I'm glad to hear that they're both going to make a full recovery.

Good for them that some sheer luck came into play.

He did enough things right to effect their survival of the impact. I wish them both a speedy recovery.

Wow, really happy he had both skill and luck.
"30ish years of martial arts and I've actually had the honor of training lots of LEO, spec ops and even SEAL team 6 on base, fitness training, not martial arts, but still the coolest thing I've done.

Full on egg head corporate job and I fly quite a bit so I'm really looking forward to adding to my collection of TSA friendly self defense tools. I have amcouple tactical pens, but I want to up the game and get into some custom stuff. Been watch obsessed for a while but this seems more fun.

Thanks for letting me play! "

lots of skill involved having a direct impact on the outcome. Obviously he knew what he was doing.

as my dad says: no balls, no air medals.

Wonder if Bremont will come out with a new crash and burn limited edition? Seriously .... for pilots who crash and walk (or limp, crawl, etc) away.

Any "landing" you can walk away from...

Best to Giles and the young boy as well.

I believe the MB1 is supposed to be for pilots who have used an ejector.

Wow. Hope he gets well soon.

Looks like their dad died in a plane crash, one where N. English sustained thirty broken bones. And isn't the company named after the Frenchman on whose property they crash landed at one point? Perhaps they should hang up their flight suits for the time being? That's a lot of crashes for just the last couple of decades....

My first though was "are they were going to try to incorporate the wreckage into some new limited edition $15,000 watch".
