So, I've being planning to mod a Seiko watch for a while but never pull the trigger. While searching for ideas and i found this,

I thought is cool to mod a DLC watch case with blue second hand. So, i got the idea for my Seiko SKZ217 LE aka Seiko Landshark & Atlas for the normal series.
Back in year 2008-9 Seiko 5 issued 2 LE namely SKZ215 & 217. Here is a mini review of Seiko SKZ215,

What i like about her is the carbon fiber dial which is rare for Seiko watch and a very rare find of a DLC MM 300M clasp. I am not sure i have seen this ever even in today's Seiko. Light weight titanium and size wise is perfect on my 6.5 inches wrist. If you take a closer look at the the crown guard shape it does looks like an evolved SEIKO 6105 not the normal SKX series guard.
While waiting for my the blue dagger second hand arrival some pics first,
I will post pics after the mod.

Is that DLC version a sandwich dial? Can’t tell from the photos.
I’ve never noticed that the Atlas had a titanium version and ratcheting clasp. That’s really nice.
