2 Seikos have joined my collection :-)
2 Seikos have joined my collection :-)
Good afternoon!
Recently had the opportunity to buy 2 vintage Seiko watches. A 1969 6105-8009 and a6309-7049.
Is there anyone that you all recommend for service? I do not like my watches perfect and polished, just what's needed. So excited to own these! I have been reading up on the 6105 and evidently its not so common. It hasn't seen the light of day since 6/29/1991...29 years!
Here are a couple of photos.
Thank you in advance for recommendations!

Welcome (back)! You haven’t been around for a while...almost 51 years!
Nice Seiko!

Wow that 6105 looks like the ones I used to buy for $500-600. Too bad those days are gone.
If you get tired of them I’ll take em.

That seems to be what I have heard. Unfortunately EBay has been the source of comparison but nothing in an 8009 and nothing this nice. They want dumb money for some of them. Probably not going to part with it any time soon

Most of those ebay sells threads have been there for a long time. That are not the actual selling prices.

So what are the comparison prices? I don't see where there are even any for sale.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 11:17 pmMost of those ebay sells threads have been there for a long time. That are not the actual selling prices.

Look for "sold" prices on watchrecon.KertMRB wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 11:29 amSo what are the comparison prices? I did find one on there but as I suspected there are very few of these that are original and in good condition. Most are re-lumed, cosmetically challenged and have replaced parts. Maybe there aren't many originals that are more pristine out there since it was a "workhorse" of a watch.
Thanks for the info
